RC Christmas 2005 <3

Sooooo although I’m (yawa) currently “afk” ~ i.e. away from ff for the chirstmas and new year period
I shall be back soon! And have a great evening planned in celebration of RC’s entering 2006 ^.^ !

The first event of the new year shall be the “1st Annual Random Comic FFXI Quiz!” - quickfire question rounds about all aspects of Vana’diel Including different jobs, races, the rpg stories (no spoilers), items and equipment.
Do you know Which race is known for their high INT? What’s the name of the King of San d’Oria? In which zone can you find the Notorious Monster Aquarius?
Are the oldies the wisest? - or will the newbies show those old fuddy duddies a thing or two?
Compete in January against your RC friends for the chance to be crowned FFXI Triva Know-it-all! (and you might even win some gil! o.O)

Following the Quiz will be RC’s first ever Diorama Abdhaljs Ghelsba Ballista
It will be a lvl30 cap (aplogies to those who would prefer a higher cap, but since many RC members are still below lvl30 I think this is probably best ^^)
Please be advised that you do NOT require a Ballista Licence to participate in Diorama Abdhaljs Ghelsba, you DO require the CoP expansion pack. You also need to be able to get to JEUNO (if you are below lvl20 and need help to get there please do ask ^^)
If you are BELOW lvl30 you are still MOST WELCOME to come, I’ll be damned if anyone is actually going to take it seriously ^.~ Come along for some crazy fun - challenge your friends to one-on-ones, score petras, go on crazy killing sprees, basically - experience ballista!

I don’t have a date or time yet because I haven’t been able to get on and talk to the ballista-reservation-dude. But all in due time!
In the mean time, please feel free to leave comments about the best times for you, and I shall do my best to arrange for the Majority ^^

Congratulations to Tagliobo who today reached White Mage level 50 and completed G1!
With a little help from his friends, the papyrus (the most notoriously difficult of the 3 required drops) dropped in approximately 5 mobs in the Eldimene Necropolis! Good work RC ^^

Brants was spotted today wearing a dress, like a little-girl-elvaan!. Although he protests it was for his smn job, we natually don’t believe him.

And finally a very special and warm welcome of luff to Tiae who is finally back among us in Vana’diel. We knew the “I have too mucho work at uni” excuse couldn’t really hold out for long. We are all a pile of happy bunnies to have him back! And shall never let him leave ever ever again! Now where are those handcuffs?

Threed has worked hard to map out all our current bcnm20 winnings; this is a list that shall be updated as often as possible ^.^

The orb required is the Cloudy Orb which can be obtained by trading 20 beastmen seals to the hume-who-gives-out-orbs in Port Jeuno. The location for this BCNM is the hut in Gheslba Outpost (the same one as involved in some Sandy Missions, the NPC Fellowship quest, and the DRG advanced job quest)

A couple of nights ago saw Theoz and Yawa bored with nothing to do… what better idea than to help Avatarofpower and one of our newest members Dimablo, to get their samurai jobs!
After a quick trip to Norg we made short work of those Forgers:

And later, although Avatarofpower DCed-never-to-return at Mea, and 6k choco prices meant we walked the whole way to the Sanctuary of Zi’Tah (Theoz sneak/invised us all admirably) we took care of that big ugly trenant:

Yesterday also saw the beginnings of Threed’s gil-making plan “Wings of Fury” BCNM20 in Ghelsba Outpost swing into action. Ideally Threed should be able to solo this BCNM, however for his first couple of runs Yawa and Mears came along to help until Threed knew exactly what he was doing. Good job we came because the first run was a close call (silly bats refused to be charmed) and more than 10 potions were consumed! Second run went better as Threed used his 2hr to charm the bats and we were all safe as houses.
No good drops either time, but we are hoping to give it another couple of runs soon enough ^^

Firstly, Congrats to Mears for reaching lvl60 pld and attaining ALL his AF! {/cheer}
Now he has absolutely no excuse for not sending me his screenies for the Member Page :D [AF screenies to follow ^^]
Furthermore he is now 92 cooking O.O {congratulations!}

Congratulations also to Theoz and Dazor who were busy lvling away yesterday (23k exp straight!) They both made it to lvl55!

Next, Threed attained lvl19 Beastmaster last night when Mears, Avatarofpower and Yawa all turned up to PL him through The Bubu Peninsula! One more lvl and he’ll be taking on BCNM20 Wings of Fury!

Ok so following Theo/Beo’s request I finally added the Forum link (look right..)

I am sure that it is full of bugs and problems and everything but it’s there temporarily until I can make it better ._. I hope it will suffice for a short while.

Please don’t bombard me with issues in FF, please leave them in the Forum Information Thread, or if for some reason you are unable to do that, you can always email me.

I simply do not have time to make it nice and pretty right now. If there is a fundamental problem I shall deal with it as quickly as I am able.

On Tuesday night, Mears Dazor and Yawa helped Taruzell around Delkfutt’s Tower for the complition of this 3.3 mission, as attaining Rank 4! Congratulations Taru :D

Earlier in the day, Avatarofpower and I also attempted to help Hawkins with Windurst Mission 3.2 …. sounds easy right? Three different colour mages are required to open the door in the Inner Horoto Ruins - so Avatarofpower rdm 33, Yawa whm 25, and Hawkins blm 10 all went. We did quite well, until sneak/invis wore in a bad place and….. well….. we all died horribly. And two of us dlvled. Awwwww.
Next time we’ll bring another escort ._.

Yesterday saw Tag (playing Row o.o) and Tag’s friend (playing Tag) attempting to gather Tag-who-was-playing-Row-and-was-not-actually-tag-but-is-tag’s Kazham Keys. I’m unsure whether she got the final Palbourough Mines key, but congratulations on 2/3 keys if you didn’t, and welcome to Kazham, if you did! :D
